Making Pop Ups fun, meaningful and advantageous is a skill that can be learned. Spending time coaching a VIP is time well spent. Read on to find out how you can coach VIPs to get the best out of your business.
Getting Prepped
Set the date of the event and confirm using the Pop Up tab in your Stylist Suite.
This will generate an exclusive link to your VIPs show. Share the link with the VIP so they can invite guests. If they are planning a virtual Pop Up this will allow time to set up a Facebook or IG group.
Chat to the host to plan the event, you should aim to cover:
The format: Explain the running of the event, emphasising that (if it’s an in-person event) it’s a hands on experience where guests can try nails and lashes. Consider where guests will sit – a table where everyone can sit around is best. If this isn’t available a coffee table will work.
Guest list: The ratio of guests is about 25-10, meaning that for every 25 invites sent around 10 will attend. Invites are more successful if given in person or on the phone. An e-invite follow up is a great reminder
Timings: Explain that a demonstration will take around 90 minutes, so any food should be planned for afterwards. This will make sure your time and the flow of the event is not interrupted.
What’s in it for the VIP?
Get your VIP excited about the rewards they will receive based on the sales from the event.
Reward credits start with Pop Up sales of £150.00
£150.00 – £299.99 = £30.00 | £300.00 – £449.99= £30.00 | £450.00 Plus = £45.00
Discuss the opportunity of becoming a MeAmora Stylist and explain the earning opportunities.
Check in with your VIP 5 days before the event.
If the guest list is looking low, explore options of inviting more people. Reassure that even if there are five people confirmed you are still coming.
Check in 24 hours prior to the event to again reassure the VIP you are excited and looking forward to meeting up with them.
After the event
A lovely habit to get into is to send your VIP a thank you card. Everyone loves to get a card through the post, particularly now that almost all correspondence is virtual. You can find gorgeous ‘thank you’ cards in your kit and for sale in the Stylist Stock Room. Failing that, an e-card or thankyou message is a must. The impression you give before, during and after the event is what will set you apart as the Stylist everyone wants because of your attitude, care and thoughtfulness as well as your skill and knowledge. People don’t always remember what you did but they remember the way you made them feel.
Keep the VIP updated on the post Style Session orders, checking what VIP reward level they are on. You’ll have seven days to close the show so plenty of time for the VIP to gather more orders should they wish to.
When all the orders are finally in, you can place the VIPs order and close the show. Follow up with the VIP on any sponsoring opportunity with them, another booking further into the year or simply to add to your social media groups to keep up to date with new styles, promotions and offers.
